Winter

Winter is the perfect time to elope in Florida. With temperatures from 50 - mid 70’s the days are cooler and the bugs are minimal. Mornings and nights can get a bit cold but you avoid the humidity and day sweats! During the winter months the rain is at its lowest…thankfully! Winter is the perfect time for daytime elopements, night of light portraits, and ending your day with campfires and hot tubes!

Spring

Spring is the next best time to elope in Florida with temperatures in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s. The humidity begins to increase in the spring along with the higher chances of rain towards the end of spring. Spring is the perfect time for garden elopements, natural spring elopements, and exploring national parks during the day.

Summer

Summer is the perfect month for water elopements! With the temperatures ranging from mid 80’s to the high 90’s water adventures are a must! Summer is the most humid season in Florida, all time high for bugs, peak hurricane season, and almost daily afternoon thunderstorms. Summer elopements are perfect for sunrise elopements and elopements that include water or indoor activities.

Fall

Fall can be hot and rainy at the beginning but as the season continues, temperatures drop to the mid 80’s - high 70’s and the rain begins to decrease. Fall is the perfect time for a mix of indoor and outdoor activities. Horseback riding on the beach, sunset cruises, and paddle boarding are all perfect fall elopement activities!

Florida tends to be tropical all year round but here are some things to keep in mind when planning your elopement.

  • Florida gets an occasional cold front here and there with temperatures dropping into the 30’s and 40’s when the sun is down and will increase to the high 40’s and mid 50’s with sunrise.

  • Hurricane season is from June to November. Historically speaking, late August to early November is seen to have the most hurricanes with September being the most active. To avoid hurricanes I would suggest booking your elopement November - May.

  • No-see-ums and mosquitoes are at their most active during the summer months and trust me you want to avoid them at all cost! If you choose to elope during this time, be sure to bring plenty of bug spray for you and your guests.
